Sept 1 winner of Manes and Tails Scholarship Fan Club $100 :

Gage Bartlett!! Congrats Gage !

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HAS JOINED TH FAN CLUB ON THIS FUND RAISER. MT IS STILL IN GREAT NEED OF MORE MEMBERS TO KEEP THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND ABLE TO GRANT SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARD MONTHLY PRIZE WINNERS. $20 ENTITLES EACH FAN CLUB MEMBER TO A CHANCE TO WIN $100 FOR A YEAR AND HELPS SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS AND FAMILIES ENGAGE IN EQUINE ASSISTED ACTIVITIES OF THEIR CHOICE. SEND ME AND EMAIL AND I CAN SEND THE FORM IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT AND JOIN THE FUN AT THE SAME TIME. We've been able to award client scholarships this summer, and need to prepare for 2012 clients and facilitator training. Scholarship Fund fan Club memberships make great gifts too.

Many many thanks to donors!

Bottles and cans -- County wide bottle drive-- have actually racked up over $200, a bag at a time,(not going from house to house) and many thanks Don Violette Van Buren, who always notices those bags of bottles sitting on someone's porch, offering the owners to dispose of them to benefit Manes and Tails. We've even had students. clients and volunteers drop them off here. If you would like to donate bottles, and need them picked up, please contact me, either myself on my weekly county work travels or someone local can pick up. (Do you have an accumulation at the camp you would contribute?, know a neighbor who might? I used to save mine for the HS kids but they only come once a year)

Cash: during Perfect Ponies spring 'brush hours' (open house) we've had some cash donations too.

Compost donations have helped also. Some barns (like mine and Shelley's) who used to give it away are simply asking for any donation to MT. Each dollar or dollars adds to the campaign to put more people with horses.

Anonymous: Benefactors have contributed a lot! directly to certain children and families' equine programs.

BIG THANKS THERE!!!!

All donations are tax deductible.

NEXT MT MEETING due mid October, time and place to be announced, hopefully near horses, probably on a weekend and always a lot of fun. Everyone is invited, we are not a membership, or governing group; we ARE pro-horses helping people, we root each other on, share info and learning, and non competitively network to encourage the use of horses therapeutically, County wide. (yes we also do try our best at fund raising). We are glad to see scholarship requests coming in because it means more people are looking to horses to improve their lives, but refueling the fund is the hard part. Especially for facilitator training. So if you have ideas or a hand to lend..... even if not able to attend any meetings, please, we'd love to hear from you!
