Low-income spay help is available through the state of Maine starting on December 5, (not before) the call must come on the 5th or after. the number is 1-800-367-1317. Calling in the morning between 9 and 12 is a time you can expect the best result as they have more people on the telephone. Spread the word -- let's get them fixed.

Women, (and Men) Work and Community Small Business Marketing Grants: Deadline December 15

Could your business use a marketing boost? Aroostook County business owners are encouraged to apply for Women, Work, and Community's marketing mini-grants program. Women, Work, and Community will make grants of up to $400 to help Aroostook County entrepreneurs promote their businesses through targeted marketing projects. The next deadline for the quarterly Aroostook County grants program is December 15, with grants to be awarded in January 2012.
