YES Manes and Tails is still here! Been a busy summer, lots of scholarships awarded, thanks to Caribou and Presque Isle Rotaries, Individual donations, Bottle Drivers, and people willing to seek horses as help.

Meeting: Monday, Nov 12, (Happy Veterans' Day), 2PM at McDonald's in Presque Isle. Much to catch up on and plan as well as news from Equine Affaire.

Otherwise, a few odds and ends to share:

Note: Pat Theriault, the most recently certified PATH Int (used to be NARHA) member in the County who lives in Fort Kent, is co-owner, with her husband, Carl, of Valley Auto, which had a devastating fire last month. Devastating to the building but not to the Theriaults, who have staff in place at alternate locations servicing and selling vehicles, I don't think they lost more than a minute to keep their employees employed and community served. Awesome attitude and motivation.

YOUTH NET: The December Shared Youth Vision Council (was youth network) meeting will be serving as a membership drive and will hopefully bring in new individuals who will become consistent members. At the November meeting, please bring a list of any contacts that you believe should be reached out to and invited to the December meeting (as well as receive information going forth regarding the Council). The hard copy lists will be given to Lauren DeMerchant (AmeriCorps member) who will be compiling them and sending out invitations for the meeting. You may also e-mail a copy of your list of suggested contacts to - [email protected] FMI Judy Demerchant at [email protected]

For info on Maine's new Bullying laws and procedures: contact Judy Demerchant at [email protected] or me, I can forward her email to you
